The third annual graph-drawing contest was held last week at Graph Drawing 96 in Berkeley, California. The contest judges were Peter Eades (Univ. of Newcastle, Australia), Joe Marks (MERL - A Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratory, USA), Takao Nishizeki (Tohoku Univ., Japan), Stephen North (AT&T Research, USA), Yanni Tollis (Univ. of Texas, USA), and Sue Whitesides (McGill Univ., Canada).
